C.L.A.R.T.S.

The Cancer Leukaemia & Allied Research Trekking Society was set up in 1989 by me, Professor Adrian Swall.

I am the only member of CLARTS.  My walking companion, Eric, has applied to join the Society, but as there is no-one to counter-sign his application, he remains an associate member.

Funds are raised for research conducted at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, in Newcastle upon Tyne, England by Professor Stephen Proctor, O.G.E. and his team.  Fundraising falls into several categories:

  1. Sponsored walks: these have been undertaken in New Zealand, South Africa, USA, Canada, Nepal and Throckley.
  2. Sale of books wot I wrote, and prints of oils and watercolours by Charlie Rogers O.G.E. of Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.
  3. Sale of top quality essentials for trekkers and the shamelessly immobile.

This website allows YOU to contribute by offering for sale our fabulous range of CLARTS products, some exquisite works of Tyneside art or a selection of books, all of which are guaranteed to make you think, or even laugh.  Order online at the CLARTS Shop.

Thank you for taking the time to come to my site - you may like to know that as the founder of NATAL (National Association of Technophobes and Luddites) I have now received extensive therapy in order to help me develop this website.

Now get your hands in your pockets.  Your contribution takes us towards £50,000 raised for this worthwhile cause.

Thank you so much for supporting CLARTS.

Adrian Swall, O.G.E.
